I bought a RED ‘90 Civic Realtime 4WD wagon new, and it was amazing in so many ways.
Even stock it goes darn well, gets great fuel mileage (for being thrashed all the time), and handles well even with the tall greenhouse, and when the AWD kicks in it hooks up and tracks through tight twisty corners very well.
I used to navigate some knarly dirt, barely roads in the Nevada desert, and once by bad mistake, wildly rode it 900 feet dooooooown a dirt trail into the Long Valley Caldera in CA’s Owens Valley, I was literally surfing the damn thing down the dirt road because it was too steep to stop.
That vehicle was on of the best kept secrets Honda ever had in the US.
